Senior Risk Controller (m/w/d)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional in risk management. If you want to further develop your expertise in a challenging environment and enjoy analyzing and managing risks, this position could be just right for you.

Your Tasks

• Participation in subprocesses for risk identification, measurement, assessment, control, and communication in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Preparation and further development of risk-related analyses, evaluations, and reports

• Calculation of risk-bearing capacity, conducting stress tests, and monitoring the risk limit system

• Supporting risk inventory and compiling the overall risk profile

• Analysis and evaluation of technical concepts as well as validation reports on risk models

• Creation of work instructions and technical concepts in risk management

• Involvement in strategic projects in risk management

• Monitoring, controlling, and communicating operational risks

Your Profile

• Completed studies with a focus on controlling, finance, or a comparable qualification

• Solid experience in risk management, ideally in the banking sector

• Deep knowledge of VR Control, particularly in the area of market price risks

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., KWG, MaRisk, CRD/CRR) and their implementation

• Analytical and structured working approach with the ability to present complex issues clearly

• Very good MS Office skills, especially in Excel

• Good mathematical-statistical knowledge and experience with risk models (e.g., VaR methods, Monte Carlo simulations)

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
